5000 S. East End
Building compression, environmental conditions and steel corrosion over time led to the following:
- Deteriorated mortar joints
- Missing decorative/ornamental terra cotta units
- Spalling and cracking of terra cotta pieces
- Existing structural steel was not supporting masonry facade
BAMR utilized mast climbers on all elevations to complete the following repairs:
- Grind and tuckpoint mortar joints on all elevations (project was completed in phases)
- Installation of new non-corrosive steel anchors
- Installation of new steel angles with flashing
- Replaced damaged and missing terra cotta pieces
