5000 S. East End

Building compression, environmental conditions and steel corrosion over time led to the following:

  • Deteriorated mortar joints
  • Missing decorative/ornamental terra cotta units
  • Spalling and cracking of terra cotta pieces
  • Existing structural steel was not supporting masonry facade

BAMR utilized mast climbers on all elevations to complete the following repairs:

  • Grind and tuckpoint mortar joints on all elevations (project was completed in phases)
  • Installation of new non-corrosive steel anchors
  • Installation of new steel angles with flashing
  • Replaced damaged and missing terra cotta pieces
