Proper tuckpointing is key to preserving the integrity of a building’s masonry façade.
BAMR performs tuckpointing mortar repairs which include grinding the existing mortar joints surrounding any masonry elements, such as brick, limestone or terra cotta to a minimum depth of 3/4 inch. Through the tuckpointing process, new mortar is then applied in several even lifts to ensure a proper bond. This assists in preservation and prevention of water and air infiltration. The joints are then tooled to the proper finish to achieve the desired aesthetic.
