Madonna della Strada Chapel Restoration
Madonna Della Strada was designed by Andrew Rebori and constructed in 1938-1939. The Art Moderne Chapel on Loyola University’s Lake Shore Campus is primarily clad with limestone. Prominent artist Edgar Miller was influential in the execution of much of the artwork and ornamentation.
Bulley & Andrews Masonry Restoration has worked on the long-term preservation of the building to limit water infiltration including re-pointing, replacing lead cames in the art glass windows and replacing the lead-coated copper drainage system.
