Metra Building

Building compression, environmental conditions and steel corrosion lead to a variety of exterior challenges including:

• Missing and spalling terra cotta pieces
• Spalling brick masonry
• Deteriorated or cracked mortar joints

BAMR erected scaffolding on the north and east elevations to complete the following repairs:

• Salvaged all terra cotta pieces, as possible
• Replaced missing or broken terra cotta pieces
• Installed new steel shelf angles and anchorage to secure the replaced pieces
